Believing Better In 2016

Last year I sent out a survey to all our Beloved Women e-mail subscribers to get to know you better and find out how we, at Beloved Women, can best serve you. One question was:

What's the biggest challenge you face when it comes to investing in your relationship with God?

Here are a few of your responses:

"learning to spend time that's not mundane"

"So busy with day-to-day life"

"Reading Bible and spending quality time with God"

"Reading Bible regularly"

"Time management"

"Setting aside time to meet with God"

Notice the common denominator? Yep, time. We desire to spend quality time with God. Time well spent growing in our faith, uplifting our spirits, getting deeper in the Bible. And let's be honest. We also want that time to be exciting, interesting and dare I even say ... fun.

With that in mind this year we are continuing our weekly devotional e-mails directly to your inbox where we can chat about faith, God, purpose and even hair or eyelash extensions when necessary. And as you ladies know sometimes it is necessary. Like should I wear my hair curly or straight in my next video? I digress. You don't have to answer that question, unless of course you want to.

But in addition to our weekly encouraging emails, you will also receive a short video Bible study. And today we kick off a NEW video series called "Believing Better: Overcoming The Lies That Prevent You From Living Freely In Christ." Check out the promo video then meet me back here next week as we get started with this study. And you know, it’s always good to bring a friend ;)

It is my prayer that these devotions and video Bible studies will serve as a way for you to invest in your relationship with God in a fun and meaningful way. A way that has you expectant to meet back here each week as we learn, chat, and flourish . . . . . together.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for your presence. Thank You for the honor to speak to You in prayer and know that we are heard. Thank You for your Word that guides and comforts and grants wisdom. Please grant me the passion to never think of time with You as an obligation or a do-to item but as a privilege. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.

Let's keep this conversation going Beloved. Comment belowĀ and let me know, which way do you enjoy spending time with God the most? Going to church, Bible study, personal study/reading, listening to Christian music or some other fun and exciting way? Let's brainstorm some ways to make the best of our time by spending it with our Lord.

And if you enjoyed this week's encouragement be sure to share it with a friend, you never know who might need some Beloved encouragement today.
