Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. – Psalms 37:7 NLT
Waiting on God is difficult. Not because it’s a lot of work but because it isn’t. Waiting on God means being still, not moving, not striving and not working things out in our own strength while trusting that God will act on our behalf. Psalm 37:7 tells is to “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. (NLT)
Waiting on God may not be easy, but it is simple. It’s as simple as being still in His presence. We don’t have to figure things out or even have a master plan. We don’t have to control everything. We simply need to trust. We trust that the God of the universe can do more in our stillness than we could ever do in our hustle. We trust that God knows what He’s doing and that the last place we want to be is out of His will, His plan, and His timing. Today I want to encourage you with this one step process to waiting on God: trust Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for your faithfulness in my waiting season. I pray for the courage to be still and trust in You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray. Amen.
