Being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy – Colossians 1:11 ESV
The hardest part about losing weight is keeping it off once you’ve lost it. The hardest part about marriage is not the wedding; it’s staying married. The hardest part about being a parent is not having kids but raising them.
Sometimes our greatest challenge is not starting a race, but staying in the race until the end. You may not need to change what you’re doing; you just need the endurance to keep doing it. You’re on the right path, headed in the right direction. Your goal now is to stay on the course; to not get distracted with boredom, curiosity, fatigue or frustration.
All the power and fuel we need to keep running the good race is not all up to us. The strength you need to endure is found in Jesus. He is in the race with us, empowering us to finish strong. I want to encourage you today to lean not on your strength but His.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for strengthening me with Your Holy Spirit. I pray for the courage and faith to run the race You have marked out for me. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.
