The final piece of armor we are to put on is the helmet of salvation that we read about in Ephesians 6:17. If the enemy is able to get us to let down our shield of faith, and we do fall to his attacks, this helmet of salvation will protect us from his finishing attack of death. Jesus tells us:
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. – John 10:10 ESV
The enemy wants to take life, and Jesus came to give it. Our helmet of salvation ensures we receive that life. And not just any life, but life abundantly. This distinction is important because we can be alive and not truly be living. To experience that abundant life, it’s important to put on the helmet of salvation. Learn how in this week’s video. Enjoy!
