In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. – Psalm 18:6 ESV
Have you ever had one of those “I’m over it” kind of days? It’s a day where you were ready to throw up your hands and throw in the towel. Just one small thing could send you over the edge. Still, even in these moments, we are called to keep moving forward.
When we want to give up we need to be honest with ourselves and ask the Lord for help. If you’ve found yourself discouraged today, I encourage you to call out to God and trust that your cries do not fall on deaf ears. Believing this trust can give you the strength to keep doing your best and trusting God with the rest.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being a present help in the time of trouble. I’m grateful that when I call upon Your Name You hear me and You answer my call. In Jesus Christ Name, I pray. Amen.
Recall a time when you called upon the Lord, and he answered you.
